Digital X Ray Video
Our office is equipped with digital imaging systems to capture intraoral x-rays as well as extra oral images.
The digital x-ray system is a modern approach to taking x-rays. Some of the advantages are:
- Radiation is minimal with digital x-rays; 80% less radiation in comparison with conventional film oriented x-rays
- It takes only seconds to reproduce images on the computer monitor. Because it is digital, the image can be enlarged not only for better diagnosis but also for educating the patient
- Images are archived electronically for future reference
- Unlike digital x-rays, the conventional film based x-ray takes 5 to 10 minutes to develop and it also involves chemicals to process the film
